APPLICATIONS AND DESIGN:
Yamada Dobby introduces our latest in Mechanical Dobby Weaving
Equipment. Our engineers have incorporated several design improvements
into the GD-96 Series which will provide a smoother / faster shedding
motion, reduced power consumption, and minimized noise / vibration.
- The wire cable connection (Shedding Lever) has been redesigned.
The new Shedding Lever eliminates the need for bushings and
lubrication, thus allowing this critical area to be virtually
maintenance free.
- The Fish Levers (Selection Levers) have also been redisigned. The
newly designed double lever system utilizes a compressed coil spring.
When compared to the conventional leaf spring system, Yamada's new
double lever configuration provides a smoother, and more stable pick
selection.
- Each internal Lever Hook is controlled by an independant Knife
Hook. This configuration allows a reduction of hook clearances, and the
unused levers remain stationary.
- The GD-96 Series incorporates a planetary phase device which
allows the dobby to be rotated precisely one pick forward or reverse.
This may be achieved manually by moving the phase handle, or by
optional automatic phase device equipment. Their are two automatic
systems available;
Air Synchronized Phase Device (ASD) -- Utilizes an air cylinder which synchronizes the dobby with the loom motion.
Electric Synchronized Phase Device (ESD) -- Utilizes a small electric motor to synchronize dobby with the loom motion.

The GD-96 Mechanical Dobby is available in
Top Mounting (GD50-96) And Floor Mounting (GD60-96) Versions.
